Scope of work
Each project is governed by a written scope document listing what will be built and the acceptance criteria it must meet. Work outside that document is quoted separately and only begins once you approve it.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, projects are invoiced 40% on commencement, 30% at the mid-point demonstration and 30% on delivery. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Invoices are due within fourteen days.
Ownership
On final payment, all intellectual property in work produced for you transfers to you, including source code, designs and documentation. Third-party open-source components remain under their own licences.
Warranty
We fix defects in what we built, at no charge, for thirty days after delivery. This does not cover changes in requirements, third-party service failures, or modifications made by others.
Confidentiality
We treat everything we see about your business as confidential and will sign your NDA on request. We will not name you as a client publicly without your permission.
Limitation of liability
Our liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
