The challenge
The organiser was selling tickets over WhatsApp and confirming mobile money payments by reading SMS receipts one by one. On a busy night that meant a person on a phone for six hours, a queue at the door, and a handful of duplicate tickets that got in for free.
What we built
We built a ticketing platform with MTN and Airtel mobile money integration that verifies payments automatically against the provider callback, issues a signed QR ticket the moment payment clears, and marks each ticket used the first time it is scanned.
Door staff use an Android scanner app that caches the guest list, so scanning keeps working when the venue Wi-Fi does not.
The outcome
Payment confirmation went from a manual six-hour job to instant. Duplicate entries stopped entirely, because a scanned ticket cannot be scanned again. The organiser now runs multiple events at once from one dashboard.
